Enric Vives-Rubio
Enric Vives-Rubio (Barcelona, 1981) lives in Lisbon since 2004. He studied photography at the IEFC (Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya) and completed a postgraduate degree in Photojournalism at the UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). In 2004, he moved to Lisbon, where he undertook an internship at the weekly newspaper O Independente and at the daily newspaper Público, where he worked as a photojournalist for 11 years, until 2017.
Throughout his career, his work has been recognised with several awards. Among these, it is worth noting that he was a finalist for the Luís Valtueña International Humanitarian Photography Award in 2006; he received an honourable mention in the Visão Award in 2008; he was awarded first prize in the News category at Estação Imagem 2011; and he won the Gazeta Photography Award in 2017.
