Book presentation of “Cadavre Exquis” – Photographing in Continuity

In the centenary year of cadavre exquis, a surrealist game invented in 1925, 77 photographers and photography enthusiasts accepted the challenge of creating this work. They were asked not only to take photographs, but also to write a short creative text that established some kind of narrative continuity with the previous one. Thus, in this photographic adaptation of cadavre exquis, each author received a photograph, title and text from the previous author on a weekly basis and sent their title, text and photograph to the next one. The resulting book is a unique and, of course, surprising creative object.

Lumina Galeria invited the mentor of the initiative, designer Jorge Barbosa, to present the book Cadavre Exquis – Fotografar em Continuidade (Exquisite Corpse – Photographing in Continuity) and the entire project that gave rise to it at the beginning of the year, on a date to be scheduled.
